Hi everyone! My name is Irene, and I am a sophomore at Yale University, majoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology as a pre-medical student. Going on a medical mission abroad was a dream I carried since middle school, and I finally had the opportunity to when I went on my first VAW Medical Outreach Trip in March 2018. After the life-changing trip, I was left with unforgettable medical experiences and a close family of friends that motivated me to be further involved in VAW.
