University of California System - Santa Cruz (UCSC

University of California System - Santa Cruz (UCSC) Medical chapter had a cheerful time sharing about Nutritional plan and Dental care topics to the local children in Cusco, Peru, during their VAW Global Education day last week.

The biggest challenges to delivering the message are overcoming the language barrier and keeping the attention of the young. Hence, it becomes a really fun day with mainly games and interactive-education activities!

After 6 intense days of work in clinics alongside

After 6 intense days of work in clinics alongside Peruvian Health Care Professionals, interns from University of California System - Santa Cruz (UCSC) VAW Global Medical Chapter have learned about healthcare in a global context, disease diagnosis, treatment courses, and clinic operations in an LMIC.

Together, we provided care for 176 patients: 81 females, 59 children; and 47 males!
