Hello!! My name is Dalia Alam and I joined VAW as an intern 3 years ago my sophomore year of college. My trip was cancelled due to covid and I had the opportunity to go to Guatemala my junior year of college. I continued by being a team leader in Peru this past June and am excited to be a team development coordinator this year. I just recently graduated from San Diego State University and majored in Interdisciplinary Studies in three departments being: Biology, Public Health, and Child Development. I was able to establish VAW as a club at my university and lead the first trip with the club established. VAW has given me the opportunity to gain experience and help those in need which is something that has always been a passion of mine. I am honored to continue to be working for this organization and I cannot wait to see it continue to grow!
